Adapter for control signal from red and white light via the original dimmer.
This adapter makes it possible to control additional lighting, such as LED strips or other light sources, without cutting or splicing into the original wiring.
The adapter is easily connected between the truck’s existing connector and a lamp with red/white light.
Function and connection:
The adapter has two signal wires, red and white, each 5 metres long, which provide a control signal from each respective light colour.
Red wire: Signal for red light
White wire: Signal for white light
The wires should be connected to a dimmer, item no. 2821301 – see recommended accessories – as newer Volvo trucks have limited current output from the original wiring.
One dimmer is required per colour. If you only need a control signal for one colour, one dimmer is sufficient and only one of the wires needs to be used.
The loose wires are sealed and must be cut open before use. The seal is there to prevent short circuits if one of the wires is not used.
