Interior Lighting Dimmer 5V/24V

Updated version of the interior lighting dimmer, now suitable for both Volvo and Scania NextGen.

Control extra LED lighting using the truck’s original dimmer. This makes it easy to dim additional interior lighting with the vehicle’s own controls.

This dimmer converts both Scania’s 5V control signal and Volvo’s 24V light signal, delivering a regulated 24V output to your LED strips and lamps.

When installing on Volvo, we recommend using our light signal adapter, item no. 2701120, when connecting this dimmer. With the adapter, you get a signal cable from an original red/white lamp and avoid cutting or splicing into the original wiring. See recommended accessories.

This is an updated version that replaces item no. 2711600, Dimmer Scania Interior Lighting 5V Control Signal to 24V, and item no. 2701600, Dimmer Volvo Interior Lighting 24V.

The maximum load for the dimmer is 15A / 360W at 24V.

The dimmer is protected by a 15A fuse. Replacement fuses can be purchased separately if needed. See recommended accessories.

Connection, input:

DIM +: Connect the positive cable from any original lamp or the original dimmer you want to receive a signal from. Red or white lamp. On Volvo, we recommend using the light signal adapter, item no. 2701120.

IN -: Connect negative from the truck, for example battery negative or ground point.

IN +: Connect positive from the truck, 24V, for example battery or fuse.

Connection, output:

- OUT: Output to the lamps that are to be dimmed, negative pole, 24V.

+ OUT: Output to the lamps that are to be dimmed, positive pole, 24V.

The dimmer has double OUT terminals for easier connection of multiple cables.
