XBB PowerUnit Relay & XBB Dongle OBD II
The XBB PowerUnit (relay) combined with the XBB Dongle (OBD device) offers a modern and straightforward solution for installing vehicle lighting. In today’s modern vehicles, it is often no longer possible to connect auxiliary lights in the traditional way—with a relay and trigger signal from the vehicle's factory-installed high beams—as was standard with halogen lamps. Vehicles with advanced lighting systems now require a CAN-bus interface to integrate aftermarket lighting.
The XBB Dongle is a unique CAN-bus interface that stands out from other products on the market. Unlike traditional solutions, no electronics are connected directly to the vehicle’s internal CAN-bus system. Instead, the XBB Dongle uses information from the vehicle's diagnostic socket (OBD).
Installation is simple:
Start by connecting the XBB Dongle to the vehicle's diagnostic socket.
Then use the XBB Configurator app on your smartphone to test various settings and find the configuration that works best for your vehicle.
Once configured, proceed with installing the auxiliary lighting and the XBB PowerUnit (relay).
An additional advantage of the XBB Dongle and XBB PowerUnit is their ability to access multiple signals from the vehicle. This allows not only control of auxiliary lights but also functions such as DRL lights, reverse lights, and more.
XBB PowerUnit Features:
