Reflector Light for Roof High Beam Scania NextGen 2016-2022
LED light plates designed to create a stylish light in the roof-mounted high beam reflector on Scania Next Generation from model year 2016 to 2022. This kit includes 2 light plates, 1 for each side.
The LED insert is available as single-colour, dual-colour and with strobe/warning light.
Single-colour – Xenon White / Warm White / Amber / Yellow
Each light plate has a 3 metre cable that should be connected to, for example, a position light or alternatively to a switch if you want to be able to turn the reflector light off. There is one positive and one negative wire.
Dual-colour – Xenon White & Amber
Each circuit board has a 3 metre cable. There is one negative wire and two positive wires. You should never have both colours on at the same time, so you need to use a rocker switch to switch between the colours.
Strobe Light & Dual-colour – Xenon White & Amber with Strobe or Warm White & Amber with Strobe
The LED insert has a 6 metre cable with M8 connectors, which connect to the included control unit. The control unit manages the two colours and automatically switches them off when the strobe/flashing light is activated.
The control unit itself has a 3 metre cable and 5 wires:
Grey: Ground/negative (-)
White: Positive (+)
Blue: Yellow DRL/position light (+)
Brown: Strobe light (+)
Black: Greeting function (+)
Installation
Installation of the LED inserts in the lamps is relatively simple, especially compared to other lamps.
The lamps need to be removed from the frames they are mounted in.
Use the included drilling template on the underside of the lamp and drill one 20 mm hole and two 3.5 mm holes. Make sure to remove any drilling swarf after drilling.
The LED insert is inserted into the lamp through the large hole. The insert has two solder nuts, which are used to secure the insert through the two small holes using the included M3 bolts. We recommend applying glue to the bolt heads to help prevent water ingress.
Push the rubber gasket up so that it sits securely in the hole. It may be beneficial to use silicone grease on the gasket to reduce the risk of water ingress.
